I went back to the Squidoo lenses again. I can only spend bits and pieces of time on doing them in between wrapping and packing toys on my own website.
I had set up some lenses to promote my own website but had to laugh because I should have realised this would happen ... I already had good rankings in google and thought that the lenses would complement my existing website placements in google with their link power ... No. the lenses stomped right in and packed me right out of the way, instead of my website entries there was now squidoo lenses and I was relegated to a black hole. So really I shouldnt be using keywords that are all ready being used on my website ! Also it dawned on me that I should be adding links to the lenses so I started doing this and got to #237 in shopping for one lense and 100 or so looks for the week. There are a load of products on my lenses, but its just makes coffee money. Makes me wonder how people make money from lenses. I suppose its all good fun, but behind it all it would be nice to not have to wrap and pack as Im finding Im locked into being at home all the time as I need to mail each day and have goods arriving most days. I think I get so frustrated with the lenses as I know some people make good money and I keep trying and trying to figure out what needs doing. Im beginning to get more understanding.
I feel your pain and confusion. It's interesting that some people get great results with Squidoo and others don't do so well.
Why don't you post about this in the Forum? More people will see it there and I'm sure there will be comments that may help you with promoting your business and building your lenses.
We have a number of Giant Squids and a few Squid Angels in this community, and many of them love helping others do better with their lenses.
I am not a fan of ClickBank and stopped promoting their products about a year ago. There are some very good products there, but mostly it's trash.
You could copy the comment you made to me and create a new forum discussion with it, if you want.
