Push Pull Marketing

This group is about pushing information to subscribers via email, newsletters, and text messages in order to pull them back to your website, blog, lens, and/or store. It's about building a marketing system and not just doing hit or miss promotions.

The Foundations of Push-Pull Marketing

You need a hub for your marketing activities. I recommend a website. You can start with a good free website and then upgrade to a paid site for additional features, later.

For a website, I recommend Weebly. I use it for a couple of sites and will be adding more over time. I have a pro subscription and use the additional features, myself. Weebly also has a blog module and I think most people will prefer it to all the complexities of WordPress. If you are a technogeek, however, you may prefer WordPress or another solution. I use WordPress, Blogger, and Weebly for my various blogs.

You need a way to collect contact information and send updates to people who want to receive them. For mailing lists, newsletters, and autoresponders, I use and recommend MailChimp. You can start free and transition to a paid account, if your lists grow to where you need it.

The world is changing. More and more people are moving from computers to smartphones. SMS text messaging works like a cross between Twitter and email lists. For SMS text messages opt-in lists, I use and recommend EzTexting. I'm just starting with it, but I like what I see. There is no such thing as free text messaging, but they offer good pricing that is competitive with other similar services and their support has been great.

These are professional and personal recommendations. I used them for my business.
