Where Marketing Matters
Event Topic Ideas -- workshop Leaders
This discussion is to brainstorm the event topics and leaders for the community Fair (which will be held online during the month of May 2012).
ARE YOU or do you know someone who has a Squidoo related topic (tip, technique, marketing process, etc) they can share in an online workshop fashion for the Squidoo Marketing 2012 FAIR?
What topics would you be interested in providing online workshop for?
Note:You can use a 'group' area to set up your workshop.
Each workshop leader will have a dedicated 'group' type area for the workshop. Deb will create the group for you and set it up so participates are added at registration. The group 'room' will be hidden except to registered participants.
An online workshop can be delivered in any of the following and possibly many other ways...
UPDATE:Workshop Topics
Pamela has offered to facilitate a 'workshop' during our May Fair. Thank you Pamela. We are looking forward to learning with you.
Cheryl has offered to facilitate "How to Sell Zazzle Art" during our May Fair. Thank you Cheryl!
I am going to facilitate "The Niche Topic Formula" a brand new technique I've discovered. I'm using it in combination with Erica's SNB lens building technique.

Permalink Reply by Cheryl Paton on February 14, 2012 at 3:54pm I already have a lens on this, but if anybody would like a workshop on it, I would be glad to offer it. It's about customizing the text module to sell Zazzle art so that the person can earn referral fees from Zazzle, by posting links on Squidoo.
Permalink Reply by GypsyOwl on February 14, 2012 at 5:30pm Cheryl, This is exactly the kind of thing you can offer at the FAIR ;-)
The link to the lens, a few details about how that information you have posted on your lens will benefit us (as you already have included above).
You wouldn't need to make anything new to go with it for the fair unless you are inspired to do so. I think it will deserve its own discussion thread so you can get feed back here (as well as on your lens).

Deb, is the planning committee thing in March and the Fair in May?
Permalink Reply by GypsyOwl on February 14, 2012 at 7:17pm Hi Cheryl,
Yes, the Fair is in May.
The planning committee will be in March and April...
Drop by anytime. I'll be sorting the discussions by 'meeting dates' but please feel free to drop into any discussion any time.
I want everyone who is interested to chime in join in help in the planning and enjoy the fair.
♥
Thanks for posting your information on my wall.

I will create the 'FAIR ROOMS' soon and will let each person who is hosting a 'training' create a discussion (that way they can edit them as well). I will post mine and it can serve as an example but only if the 'training leaders' need an example.
I'm starting to get more replies and this year's Fair is going to be amazing!!
Permalink Reply by Cheryl Paton on February 20, 2012 at 11:57am Yay! Sounds great. : )
Permalink Reply by JoyfulPamela on February 27, 2012 at 1:41pm What a great topic, Cheryl! Thank you!
Permalink Reply by GypsyOwl on March 4, 2012 at 6:43am Would anyone be interested in this: I am thinking of a 'workshop' discussion called "Niche Topic Formulas"
I have had this bouncing around in my head a while. If this would interest anyone I'll put together some materials and set up a discussion board.
Secondly: I'm going to ask Erica Stone if I can do a SNB introduction. I'll let you know when I have her approval (I'll need to put together a more clear idea of what we can study from her book -- maybe one or two concepts). She may already have something in mind if she has thought about taking her book into a workshop setting. I'll let you know more specifically after she and I get a chance to chat.
Third Idea:
Anyone could do this...
A 'discussion' workshop focused on a particular topic and referencing any post or lens that is already online. A bit like Cheryl's idea, this would be a way to get the information that has been posted on this site and other sites into one area.
(NOTE: Copyright Notice...We should not copy any materials into the workshop discussion areas. Only use links to free resources, or get permission to excerpt from materials with a copyright. We should use the discussion areas to discuss how the material can be used in specific cases without infringing on the material's copyright. Unless the owner of the material gives written permission to you or they volunteer to attend the May Fair to do a presentation of their own).

What is SNB?
Permalink Reply by GypsyOwl on March 4, 2012 at 12:09pm Here is an example of an SNB set http://www.squidoo.com/best-large-wall-clocks
I create them like this based on Erica's SNB (Squidoo Niche Blaster) technique. I also make them for clients.
You can read more about the book and/or buy the book here: http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-special-offers-forum/441364-100...
I'm going to send Erica a note today...
Maybe she can provide 'introduction' type materials so we can do something related to her technique in a group during May Fair.
Permalink Reply by Pamela Arsena on March 8, 2012 at 12:00pm i'd be interested in that Niche topic class. I purchased the SNB formula quite awhile back and it was not the easiest to implement but i definitely do see the value as I have purchased lenses with that formula.

I will add the above to the original post so we begin to see the list building there...
I have a few invitations outstanding. I'll let you know as we get topics scheduled.
