Tools for Handmade Blogs and Businesses

I recently branched out of my Crochet Blog to a blog that specifically focuses on Squidoo and how to use it [and other writing venues] to market your handmade business or blog.

Here are some articles I have written for those who have Etsy Shops but the principles can be applied to all handmade businesses. [except of course the Etsy Module]

I have a few two I can think of are:

Linda organizes this show twice a month. She also makes gorgeous gemstone jewelry.

This lens is about my sister-in-law's pizzera. She makes everything by hand.

I just made a lens for a friend who owns an Etsy shop. Her creations are beautiful so I had loads of fun creating the page for her.

What are your handmade squidoo pages? Share them so I can visit them.

Sherry, that sounds great. I'd love if our markets allowed crafters but they only allow produce sellers. We do have a large market in a couple of towns over but that market is saturated with people who resell junk and garage sale type stuff which doesn't bring the buyers you'd want for things you taken time and money to create.

Welcome.

I mainly sell in the artist's section at the local Farmer's Market. The market is in Claremont and a known artist town. This market is set up by percentage of dollars sold. If you should only have an okay day 10% of your sales is a lifesaver. Only handmade and produce is allowed, so the artisans do not have to compete with Tupperware or cheap items from overseas.

Artisans are at one end of the two block market and the atmosphere is pleasant and friendly. Each 10 foot area looking artistic and eye catching.

My specialty is handmade cards and I help my earnings by writing tutorials on Squidoo and offering the websites on my business cards at the Farmer's Market.

I hope to start a website and sell cards through that medium. My Squidoo site is Paperfacets.
