You might want to change your Public Ning Profile to Private

Recently Ning updated their Network. One of the changes is the creation of public profiles. These profiles were set up for all members. I didn't know these profiles were public until I read a post on another community.

If you have not seen your public profile, go to ning.com and sign in under your user name. You will find a list of your Ning communities, your Ning friends, names you use on your Ning sites and other info publicly displayed.

This can possibly be a security/privacy problem for some.

If you want to keep your info private, go to

http://www.ning.com/settings/privacy

and set your profiles to be viewed by you only. (this will not effect your profile setting, only your NING.com setting)

I think these profiles are new, as I've never seen them before; but maybe I'm just slow to notice.

Personally, I like to keep my profile public to maximise my exposure.

Actually, it seems that profiles are only visible to other Ning members. If you log out, you can't see your profile page any more.
