Our Squidoo Marketing Community is For Sale

As I mentioned previously, I can no longer continue to afford this community on Ning.com.

I will accept offers from any prospective purchasers, preferably members of the community, until Wednesday, October 7, 2009. If no buyer is forthcoming, I will close the community on October 8, 2009.

This should give you time to copy any content you may have published here and to get the contact information for any of your friends in the community.

I regret that it has come to this.

Good morning, Mimi.

One of the problems with a community like this is that there are so many that are similar. When I started it, I never planned to make a profit, but I always hoped I could cover the costs. However, that proved not to work out.

As a member of the community, I understand that it offers little value because there are so many alternatives.

I'll consider the highest offer I get, if any, but don't necessarily commit to selling it. I only want to sell it to someone with a history of being a Squidoo lensmaster, and not to someone who will junk it up with other unrelated things.

If it has to be closed, that's okay. It isn't the only thing I've worked on that hasn't worked out.

Yes, it is something I hoped I could avoid.

I'm okay, but I'm in a cashflow crunch because of the downturn in my affiliate marketing business and I have to make some difficult decisions this month to cut my expenses even more than I already have.

Our Squidoo Marketing community has found a sponsor who I want to thank for keeping our community site open.

I'll post an announcement about it when the details are ready.
