Giant Squids

Are you up for the Giant Squid Challenge or perhaps the Squid 100? I've decided to try for it this round. I'm at 41 lenses so I feel comfortable in being able to pass the 50 mark before the next deadline on September 30th.

It looked like everyone on the teams had so much fun supporting each other last round that I decided to join one this time. I joined MiMI's Team One. If you are looking to join a team, please join us! Just go to the Team One lens to sign up.

There are also several other teams you can join. Come join the fun and become a Giant in the process.

I know our team, the Jolly Judicious Jetsetters do not pressure you, just coach and encourage as needed. And I feel the other teams are much the same. This is a great way to get to know a few fellow lensmasters well, to learn a bit, to encourage others, to develop your lensmaking ability. and we don't really care how many lenses you have at this point. We love newbies. So join a team, any team, and let's make this challenge the best ever! One of the most important things you can do for yourself and Squidoo, is to be active in the community. Being a part of a team gets you noticed, gets your lenses visited more often, and those are the things that boost your lensrank!; ▶ Reply to This

Thanks for the announcement. I was invited by a_willow to join Team WiWon for the next Giant Challenge.

I have 59 lens & a lot of lenses in WIP for a total of 90 lens. I should be able to reach Giant in Sept as I am a golf widow & I'm spending time puttering around the house, lol!

I was a member of Willow's WiWon team last round, which really helped me make to Giant Squiddom. So I decided, since it was not only a great source of support but also a lot of fun, to stay on with the team as both a tutor and a wanna-be 100-clubber. And now my husband, BuffaloKid, has joined the team as well. He only has 4 lenses and 4 in WIP but wants to try for Gianthood ... or at least get much closer. Now, this is going to be fun with the one computer in the house! Watch, every time I get up to use the bathroom or get a drink, I'll come back to find him in MY chair. :); ▶ Reply to This
