Squidoo Marketing

Better marketing with Squidoo

I just decided some how some way I am going to be making $50 or more per day with Squidoo by Dec 31st. How about you?

It is now Nov 2008, and I have several Squidoo lenses for a little over a year now. Lenses with information I enjoy without much attention to how to make money for myself or my charities. I do make a little bit but not even enough for a coffee a day (even a no frills cheap brand).

This thread is reserved for those that want to get serious about Squidoo and want to make cold hard cash for themselves or their charity.

The money earned will be from affiliate sales, product sales, lens income, and whatever else we can come up with.

How can we help each other? Let us know what is working for you as you get sales, different ideas, post links of ways others are making money with Squidoo, and being a supportive helpful team member.

If you want to join (posting your goal on the Internet for all to see -- kinda scary) please register in this thread with how much you will be making (for yourself and/or charities) by Dec 31st.

It is now Dec 31st, 2008 and I am so happy and grateful to be making $50 or more per day with Squidoo sharing products, services, and information.

Side Note to Squidoo Marketing Community: I posted this same challenge over at Beginners Marketing Class if you want to accept and help others there as well.

Finding myself doing the same old things and imagine that getting the same results. How is everyone else doing? Any positive changes? What are you doing differently?

I did put together an Excel spreadsheet to keep track of what lenses I have submitted to each different Squid directory.

Mark, it's so easy to return to doing the same old things. I may not reach the year-end goal, but I am still working toward it and will continue past it to attain it. Small changes have been made, but I do like my old habits. LOL I think that if I don't give up and keep trying new things that I will be heading toward the goal and developing habits that work, so keep on keeping on, y'all. :)

Who has a list of all of the Squid directories? I know of only five or six or so.

PS Mark, I found your son's lens a few days ago and Tweeted his top one. It was about what 15 year-olds want for Christmas. Didn't know he was your son; just liked his lens and thought it would be helpful for others. :) [http://twitter.com/GrowWear/statuses/1030052667]

Hi MiMi,

One of the great things about goalsetting is that we can use our goals as a target and a motivational tool as well as a guide for managing our businesses.

Sometimes we meet or exceed our goals. Sometimes we fall short.

The beauty of it is you can set a new goal when you reach your deadline. I see you and Mark evaluating what you're doing and how you're managing your time. Those are important parts of managing your company and your marketing efforts.

Earning $50 a day by December 31, 2008, is an aggressive goal to set, but I can see that Mark is making progress on achieving it. It's also creating some buzz and that's usually a good thing.

Come January 1, 2009, either he and you can celebrate achieving a difficult goal, or it can be a good time to reevaluate and set a new goal. Either way, you're making progress and getting closer to achieving the goal or exceeding it - hopefully wildly exceeding it.

There's a lot of money to be made and you're on the right track.

Act on your dream!

Hey, John! On January 1, whether I have exceeded or fallen short, it will still be an experience that is worthwhile -- that's for sure. I love this challenge! It is making me stay more focused. If the goal isn't reached on date, I'll set another date. Methinks the important thing is to not give up! Much success to all!

You can't fail if you don't give up.

I just now went to growwear.com for the first time. Can you think of one good reason why I am not promoting your shirts on my Self Help Quotes lens? among other places?

Mimi almost everything I do is self help related. We can get to $50 a day probably by just working together. I will add a page at BestSelf-Help.com and I will be adding Cafepress modules to my lenses immediately.

Joan, I don't know about the videos you are talking about -- please post them.

These are great. Excellent nuggets to put to use.

Funny after watching them I said to myself -- "I don't do it that way." Maybe that is why I have been stuck at $1 a day!!

PotPieGirl's time efficiency/effectiveness certainly seem better time spent then most of what I do,
