Squidoo Marketing

Better marketing with Squidoo

I just decided some how some way I am going to be making $50 or more per day with Squidoo by Dec 31st. How about you?

It is now Nov 2008, and I have several Squidoo lenses for a little over a year now. Lenses with information I enjoy without much attention to how to make money for myself or my charities. I do make a little bit but not even enough for a coffee a day (even a no frills cheap brand).

This thread is reserved for those that want to get serious about Squidoo and want to make cold hard cash for themselves or their charity.

The money earned will be from affiliate sales, product sales, lens income, and whatever else we can come up with.

How can we help each other? Let us know what is working for you as you get sales, different ideas, post links of ways others are making money with Squidoo, and being a supportive helpful team member.

If you want to join (posting your goal on the Internet for all to see -- kinda scary) please register in this thread with how much you will be making (for yourself and/or charities) by Dec 31st.

It is now Dec 31st, 2008 and I am so happy and grateful to be making $50 or more per day with Squidoo sharing products, services, and information.

Side Note to Squidoo Marketing Community: I posted this same challenge over at Beginners Marketing Class if you want to accept and help others there as well.

I added you both! Thank you!
Yes, it has been fun to find all the kin, but I get frustrated that I cannot find more - so let me know if you see anyone else, okay?

Hi Mark,

If I remember, I signed up as an affiliate from your SeminarsOnDVD link, but I haven't had the time or energy to start promoting it, yet. When I do, I hope I can add something to both my income and yours, too.

Act on your dream!

Yeah, I think I told you I love this product but until last month the only sales were to myself. Getting these seminars on DVD are a great way to see some of the best speakers without having to pay through the nose and travel all over.

I am a fan of Two tier affiliate programs because it promotes team work. Two Tier Affiliate Programs Let's do it.

John,

Do you get any sales through your SBI Lens? I am a big fan of SiteBuildIt but have not promoted it. Should I?

Mark, thank you for inspiring us! Just wanted to check in while I am here. Over at your Squidoo lens, I committed to the challenge and I do have second thoughts about the reality of making that big a change in my income. Fifty dollars a day by December 31? Well, my hopeful and positive side says, "Why not? I won't ever know unless I try." My first step has been rethinking how I spend my time online. I've been working on that over the holiday and feel closer to a schedule that I feel is productive. Tomorrow, I'm going to read this whole thread as I am sure there are little gems in here that will help me to solidify my working schedule. I'm looking forward to working with you and the other esteemed folks here who've challenged themselves and helping out in any way that I can.

Yes and Yes.

These are my thoughts exactly. We need to really evaluate how we are spending are time?

I have set a new schedule but I find myself still continuing to do many of the same things I used to do. Old habits are tough to break. If I continue to do the same things I will get the same result which is about a $1 a day.

As you are evaluating what you are doing please keep us informed. On my $50 a day with Squidoo lens I put my "typical day" on there to give you an idea of my current plan. It needs some help because the income has not changed by much. I open to ideas as to changing it.

Hey, Mark :)

Well, a simple thing I have been turning over in my mind is that it's looking like just doing email "as it comes in" is eating up a whole lot of time. Here's what I plan to do about it:

Make separate inboxes for each type of email -- such as for this site or the Squidoo comments that I receive. That way, the mail will be separating as it comes in. When it's on my schedule to do Ning-related activities, I'll open that inbox. When it's time to do Squidoo email comments, I'll open that inbox and check comments and do comment-backs and such related things all at one time.

All of this organizing should have been going on the whole time, you know? It's a huge problem for me. Even after three days or so of thinking about it, I still don't have a concrete schedule. One of my worst faults is that I am not good with maintenance and this is scarily falling into that category! It's definitely going to take some getting out of my comfort zone!

Anyone else have email organization or other organization-type ideas? Thinking I will read over your ideas again, Mark, and see if I can get some tips or even if it will make me think of other things to do that I can suggest here.

Here's to everyone's success!

Do yall use a daily check off list? I could not work without that list, tho some days I do not follow exactly. sometimes i get real industrious and use a label and just print a daily label to add to my notebook each day.

Mimi, I tried doing the e-mail sort once before, but it did not work for me. However, I am now with g-mail, all of my comments are in one group. gmail sorts mail by sender. so all of the e-mail from teh same sender and subject (like comments, etc) is grouped together. that does help me. same with ning comments on same thread, etc.....like this one. I am subscribed, but can quickly see if there is action out here.

I waste entirely too much time and my desk is piled high. I will do better next week. lol
