Better marketing with Squidoo
Challenge: Making Money on Squidoo
I just decided some how some way I am going to be making $50 or more per day with Squidoo by Dec 31st. How about you?
It is now Nov 2008, and I have several Squidoo lenses for a little over a year now. Lenses with information I enjoy without much attention to how to make money for myself or my charities. I do make a little bit but not even enough for a coffee a day (even a no frills cheap brand).
This thread is reserved for those that want to get serious about Squidoo and want to make cold hard cash for themselves or their charity.
The money earned will be from affiliate sales, product sales, lens income, and whatever else we can come up with.
How can we help each other? Let us know what is working for you as you get sales, different ideas, post links of ways others are making money with Squidoo, and being a supportive helpful team member.
If you want to join (posting your goal on the Internet for all to see -- kinda scary) please register in this thread with how much you will be making (for yourself and/or charities) by Dec 31st.

Just signed up yesterday. I will look for you. I also recently signed up for Squidpoint and Squidirectory These have definitely helped with lensrank.
I need to get focused on making some sales. Squidoo earnings will not be enough!!

Good evening, Mark.
I like what you're doing with your $50 a day with Squidoo lens. I think posting about what you're doing and not doing will be a real help to a variety of lensmasters, old and new.
Keep working on it, you'll reach that $50 a day income level. Whether you make it by December 31 or not, you'll find the way to earn that much, or more, if you keep working at it like you've been doing.

$50 a day would be great. But personally I'm just glad to not see my income go down (as I fully expected, given that I have been getting less lenses in the top tiers).

Yeah rankings have been tougher to keep up there. However my Squidoo earnings have been pretty steady because the payouts have been slightly higher.
Joan thanks for the tips on MP3 sales. Not sure what I will do with that advice but I will put some lens together or add to an existing lens.

Same for me: payouts roughly stable. But the big question is: how to get them higher, isn't it?

Yeah I guess. But almost all my time on Squidoo in the past has been spent getting lensrank up, visiting other lenses, joining groups, and more. Lets say I had 5 in top tier and all the rest in tier 2 that would put me at $90 or so in Squidoo earnings (way more than I have ever made in Squidoo earnings) which would be about $3 a day.
So I think we need to be more focused on outside sales??? Your thoughts?

I agree. Outside sales of either your own products or products sold through your affiliate links should earn more for most of us than what we earn directly from Squidoo.
I know that I earn quite a bit more from outside sales in a month than I do from Squidoo in a year or so.
I quit worrying about which tier my lenses fall into several months ago and started thinking more about backlinks and affiliate sales.
Still, I don't rank near the top of the lensmasters list in earnings, so we should all take my advice with a grain of salt. (grin)

Making 2 posts daily at SquidU.
Twittered my updates of my $50 a day with Squidoo Lens and my Self Help Quote Lens
Split up my Self Help DVD into 2 lenses -- Self Help DVD and Motivational Movies
Made a new lens Brian Tracy products in an effort to get some more sales I am going to make more affiliate product related lenses. We'll see how it goes....

Anticipating 5 sales this week to get me to 5 sales for the week (positive thinking didn't want to say I was at zero).
Lensrank is very high across all of my lenses but that will only make me a couple of dollars a day not $50. The sales are coming and I'm ready. I have been adding new lenses and adding links to everything.

Now that is cool. I had someone signup as an affiliate in one of my two-tier affiliate programs. A step in the right direction but the idea is to get some sales. Anyone have a big day on one of your shopping lenses?
