Better marketing with Squidoo

I just decided some how some way I am going to be making $50 or more per day with Squidoo by Dec 31st. How about you?

It is now Nov 2008, and I have several Squidoo lenses for a little over a year now. Lenses with information I enjoy without much attention to how to make money for myself or my charities. I do make a little bit but not even enough for a coffee a day (even a no frills cheap brand).

This thread is reserved for those that want to get serious about Squidoo and want to make cold hard cash for themselves or their charity.

The money earned will be from affiliate sales, product sales, lens income, and whatever else we can come up with.

How can we help each other? Let us know what is working for you as you get sales, different ideas, post links of ways others are making money with Squidoo, and being a supportive helpful team member.

If you want to join (posting your goal on the Internet for all to see -- kinda scary) please register in this thread with how much you will be making (for yourself and/or charities) by Dec 31st.

It is now Dec 31st, 2008 and I am so happy and grateful to be making $50 or more per day with Squidoo sharing products, services, and information.

Side Note to Squidoo Marketing Community: I posted this same challenge over at Beginners Marketing Class if you want to accept and help others there as well.

Janelle,

I think you are going to get to $50 a day by "accident" but we'll see.

You have the links down
Many new and specific lenses
Other ways to generate revenue from your lenses

Looks pretty promising to me.

In my Squidoo income quest, I just made a $33 commission on an affiliate program I am in through one of my Squidoo lenses!!!

Learning about Pepperjam to generate some more cash

Traffic has spiked on my Self Help Quotes Lens from posting a couple of the self help quotes on Twitter The lens has climbed to #1,484 Overall

Took out some banner's in my lenses and added more text links. Working on that in this thread as well!!

Sounds like both of you are succeeding in the affiliate department! Congratulations! Over the past few months I have accumulated over $100 at clickbank, but somehow still have not met requirements to get paid! The issue with clickbank, for me, is finding good products - I sure would like to see some clickbank recommendations in this thread. Anybody selling something wonderful?

Janelle, Squidoo is just made for you or your for Squidoo! You are flying! I love it! :)

I owe YOU, Joan, a HUGE debt of thanks for poking and prodding me until I finally tried Squidoo. You're right - Squidoo fits me like a soft glove and I have never been so close to my own personal bliss as I am when I'm building a new lens.

I'm going to join the Pepperjam network soon - just trying to get myself organized and ready before I take on a new affiliate project.

Noticing traffic coming from very few posts in the SquidU forum so I am going to make at least 2 posts a day there.
Checking out top ranked lenses/websites for how to make money on squidoo to get the $50 a day really going.
Listened to a Bob the Teacher Squidoo training call in my downloads with Beginners Marketing Class

I have been out of town for a few days, and just checked my Squidoo cash on my dashboard. So far, $9.31 for the month. Halloween Songs has had my highest traffic ever and is still making sales (must be part of that 30 day period?). Also Ten Year Journal is making sales after a lively discussion on Twitter. So I am convinced of a couple of things -- Mp3's sell! not lots of $$$ but they do sell! Music and DVD's seem to be better sellers for me, but a Twitter discussion on specific book will boost sales.

re Pepperjam - I still do not have any sales there, but they do have some good products. Take a look at the banners on http://www.squidoo.com/family-reunion-how-to
and yes, I know I need to be using text links, but I do love their pretty banners.

I notice more and more lensmasters with 2 or more identities. any thoughts on that? it's feels like they are all reading the same book......lol is that really a wise move? why?

About the only reason I can think of for doing this is if you are promoting things in very different niches and don't want to complicate things or confuse your readers. In that case, it would be the same as using different pen names when writing articles promoting different niches - something I really need to do .

I am going to try to incorporate some or all the suggestions I am seeing. This is is great for me, I am sooo new to all of this, and often don't have enough time to do all that is needed to get things rolling. I am going to try to make $1 a day (hey, it's a start) by December 31st. I don't know that I have any suggestions. I am on facebook, myspace, zazzle, cafepress, deviantart, foundmyself, stumbleupon, and more. I did notice that when I posted video ads to spynbuy, traffic increased to my zazzle site, maybe I will try to drive soem traffic to my squidoo site with a spynbuy ad ...

$1 a day is doable. You can do this.

Then, all you have to do is find ways to multiply your results. You already have a good start.

Act on your dream!

Donna,

This first step is making the decision -- congratulations. Well I can definitely help with making a $1 a day because that is what I have been doing.
My new $50 a day with Squidoo lens is ranked 2,254 overall in its 2nd day!!!
If you haven't gone there already please do and give me some ideas of what to add. I was just thinking of having a place to post my progress and the response has been tremendous. I might as well make some money with this lens so please give me ideas.

Are you on www.lensroll.com ? That seemed to really put a kick start to my traffic and sent some cents my way.
